Samantha Hughes, a BC registered physiotherapist, educator, and author, has over 17
years of experience, specializing in pelvic health for 15 years. She takes a holistic
approach, treating pelvic dysfunction, bladder, and sexual issues with consideration for
each individual’s uniqueness, aiming to improve pain, function, and well-being
collaboratively.
Highlights of her career include obtaining her Masters of Physical Therapy from the
University of Alberta in 2007, establishing a Public Continence Clinic in Surrey in 2010, leading a study on Urinary Incontinence after Prostate Cancer Surgery in 2011, implementing a Public Prostate Cancer Physiotherapy Program in 2012, and publishing “The Guide to Optimizing Recovery After Prostate Cancer Surgery” in 2019 and “Caring for Prostate Cancer Survivors” in 2024.
On a personal level, she’s a mother of 2, a competitive dancer, and fluent in 4
languages. She’s committed to lifelong learning and sharing her pelvic health
knowledge with the public and health professionals.
PLEASE NOTE: Sam only offers virtual appointments, however if in person appointments are needed, Sam does collaborate with local physiotherapists to meet all her clients needs.
